IT LAB coworking zone with Veeam Laboratory opened at USATU

The laboratory was created within the framework of a charitable agreement and resulted from a meeting between the USATU rector Sergei Novikov and the founder of Veeam Software Ratmir Timashev. The opening took place in a mixed format with broadcasts from Ufa, Moscow, and New York.
The coworking zone is designed to involve students in research and scientific and applied activities in the IT field. The space includes modern equipment, powerful computers, a large interactive panel, and a minimalist design. The site will become a place of attraction for students to meet and apply their creativity, mastermind, and implement their startups.
Dean of the Informatics and Robotics Faculty Professor Nafisa Yusupova: "I am very grateful to the leadership of the University and Veeam for such a wonderful gift. It seems that it was no coincidence that we received it today when our student teams won the quarterfinals of the World Programming Championship. There are junior students, and now they have found an excellent platform for further development. Our faculty graduates work in the largest IT firms, including Google, IBM, and Microsoft, but I still can't believe that such a strong and powerful company like Veeam came to our sixth building. Many thanks to everyone whose efforts made this possible!"
Veeam Software is the world's largest IT company that develops various data management solutions, including backup, recovery, protection, and security not only on the site but also in the cloud. According to the company, more than 350,000 companies worldwide are Veeam Software clients, and the volume of orders in 2019 amounted to more than $ 1 billion.
