ShottPark, one of three landscape parks in Russia, will be landscaped in Ermolaevo

One of the attractions of the Ermolaevo village and the Kuyurgazinsky district in Bashkiria is the local leisure park. In 1850-1860, it was founded by the local landowner Hippolyte Schott. The park area is 10.2 hectares. Relict trees were planted on its territory: larch, pine, linden, bird cherry, aspen, birch, shadberry, lilac, various medicinal shrubs: wild rose, hawthorn. Medicinal herbs also grow in abundance here.

Ermolaevsky Leisure Park has been included in the Red Book of Russia since 1988 and is a natural monument. ShottPark is a monument of history, architecture, and urban planning of the Russian Federation, one of the country's three rarest landscape parks.

Currently, the park is a favorite rest place for the locals, a place for regional events and national holidays. In 2021, it is planned to improve the monument of nature, history, and architecture "Ermolaevsky Arboretum".

"To date, there is a draft design, a topographic tree survey, and a developed design and estimate documentation, which includes the repair of the asphalt pavement, the arrangement of bicycle and park paths for walking along the perimeter and lighting. Bicycle and park paths will be made not of asphalt pavement, but of special material to preserve the root system of trees and shrubs," the Kuyurgazinsky District Administration told the Bashinform News Agency.
