More than 650 people are currently working on constructing COVID hospital in Sterlitamak

More than 650 people and more than 70 pieces of equipment are currently working on constructing a temporary clinical and diagnostic Infectious Disease Center in Sterlitamak. All work is carried out around the clock.
The Infectious Disease Center should be commissioned by December 1, and on December 5, it will be ready to receive the first patients.
The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, today showed his followers on social media that the republican project of an infectious disease hospital begins to appear in other Russian regions, for example, in Chelyabinsk. According to him, in general, more than ten entities of the Russian Federation have shown interest in our hospital project.
"And we are rapidly building the second one. It is very much needed. The practice has shown that our project is extremely convenient and effective in combatting coronavirus," Radiy Khabirov posted.
The new building's total bed capacity is 60 isolation wards for round-the-clock stay and 14 intensive care wards (of which three are for children, nine are for adults, and one ward is postoperative).
The infectious disease department is equipped with individual boxes with access to the street with two chambers and sanitary facilities, including a shower cabin, a toilet bowl, a washbasin, with oxygen supply.
A surgical department will operate at the Sterlitamak Infection Center, where doctors will perform operations on patients with COVID-19 and other infections.
The center will also include an obstetric and gynecological unit, an admission and diagnostic department (including rooms for computed tomography, endoscopy, ultrasound diagnostics, functional diagnostics, and an X-ray room), a bacteriological laboratory, and a pharmacy.
Health care workers will be able to live in a comfortable hostel with 40 beds.
