37% of population is vaccinated against influenza in Ufa

In Bashkiria's capital, 37 percent of the population is vaccinated against influenza, it was announced on Tuesday at a briefing session at the mayor's office.
At the same time, it was noted that the work on vaccination should be continued. First of all, by employers.
"In Ufa, there is now a decrease in ARVI. The monitoring also reveals a decrease in the registration of community-acquired pneumonia cases. Laboratory tests are carried out for all respiratory viral infections. The influenza virus has not yet been identified," said Galina Permina, deputy head of the Rospotrebnadzor Office for Bashkiria, at the meeting.
As Bashinform News Agency reported on November 9, Bashkiria received additional 10,000 doses of Sovigripp influenza vaccine. The vaccine is intended to immunize the adult population with chronic diseases, including lung diseases, cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, and obesity.
Soon, the required lots of the drug will be distributed to medical organizations.
This year alone, Bashkiria received 1,532,763 doses of influenza vaccines, including 364,183 doses for children.
