Over 1.2 million flu and 42 coronavirus vaccinations were made in Bashkiria

More than 1 256 778 people have been vaccinated against influenza - this is 31% of the republic's population, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan Maxim Zabelin said at a briefing session in the Government RB.

According to the regional Office of Rospotrebnadzor, more than 1 million adults and over 211 thousand children have been vaccinated in Bashkiria.

There is a seasonal increase in the incidence of acute respiratory infections on the territory of the republic. Not a single case of influenza in Bashkiria has yet been registered. The incidence rate remains below the epidemic threshold.

Vaccination against pneumococcal infection will continue in early November, the Minister of Health added. Adults belonging to risk groups - people over 60 years old, those with chronic lung diseases, people over working age, living in social service organizations are subject to vaccinations.

Healthcare professionals working in the "red zone" of COVID hospitals were vaccinated against coronavirus (42 doses). According to the RF Ministry of Health, another batch of vaccines is expected soon.
