Bashkiria doctors team returned from Abkhazia

A team of Bashkiria doctors returned from the Republic of Abkhazia.

Seven doctors, residents, interns of Bashkir State Medical University, and the G.G. Kuvatov Republican Clinical Hospital provided assistance to local doctors for more than three weeks and helped to render medical care to patients with the coronavirus.

“We have dealt with serious patients connected to lung ventilators. We hope that colleagues from Abkhazia have adopted our experience,” said the head of the team, head of Anesthesiology and Reanimatology Department Ildar Lutfurakhmanov.

Now teams from the Kaliningrad region and Moscow have come to replace the Bashkir doctors in Abkhazia.

As a reminder, doctors from Bashkortostan flew out to help their colleagues in Abkhazia as designated by the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and requested from the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. Earlier, our doctors went to Kyrgyzstan, Karachay-Cherkessia, and the Amur region for similar assistance.
