Bashkiria hit top 5 regions in terms of applications number for 1st presidential grants competition

The Republic of Bashkortostan hit the top 5 regions in terms of the number of applications submitted for the 1st competition to provide grants of the President of the Russian Federation to develop civil society in 2021. According to the Office of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Bashkortostan, we are the fourth in the number of applications among Russia's regions, excluding Moscow, and the first among the Volga Federal District regions. In total, 400 applications have been registered from the republic; all of them will be posted here as the Presidential Grants Fund is registered.
The competition was held in 13 directions. Traditionally, the most popular among non-profits in Bashkiria are social services, social support, and protection of citizens; health protection of citizens, promotion of a healthy lifestyle; support of projects in the field of culture and art; support of projects in the field of science, education, enlightenment.
The growth of the active participation of non-profits in the republic is facilitated by the fact that they exchange experience and the fact that the Office of the regional Public Chamber helps newcomers draw up documents for a grant correctly. The Non-Profit Resource Center of the Office of the Chamber traditionally helped the participants prepare applications until the very end of the application campaign. The center held 2 webinars, 7 seminars in the republic, 5 express reviews of applications, as well as absentee application reviews, phone consultations, and prepared letters of support.
The winners of the competition will be determined no later than January 15, 2021. Funding for the supported projects will begin on February 1, 2021, and the next second competition for presidential grants in 2021 will be announced on the same day.
Recall that in 2020, Bashkortostan's non-profit organizations attracted more than 163 million rubles to the region to implement socially significant projects.
