IMPORT Servisnyy
Several patients with the new coronavirus infection complained of tinnitus – ringing or buzzing in the ears, without external acoustic stimulus. According to Express, scientists from University College London and the Royal National Committee concluded that hearing changes might indicate infection with the COVID-19.
Also, doctors identified cases when in severe COVID patients, this symptom later turned into complete hearing loss.
Scientists recommend that medical professionals pay attention to patients' hearing changes and take preventive measures in this regard.
Experts also point out that tinnitus can accompany other illnesses, so it's worth worrying when this symptom shows up with other common COVID-19 symptoms.
