Coronavirus cases are growing in Bashkiria with daily increase of 58 people

In Bashkiria, the increase in coronavirus per day was 58 people, in total for the entire period - 9,402 cases of the disease. Minister of Health Maxim Zabelin announced this at a briefing session in the Government of the Republic.

104 patients continue to stay in hospitals. Over the past week, 25 people were admitted for inpatient treatment, 158 people were discharged. 90 percent of the cases were discharged.

“The mortality rate remains the same - 0.5 percent; the incidence rate is 230 per 100 thousand population. In contrast to neighboring regions, the situation is stable, but there is growth, and it continues, ” the Minister of Health reports.

He associates the growth in the number of cases with an increase in the number of tests; currently, 23 laboratories do PCR tests, including six private ones. At least 8-9 thousand tests are performed per day; in total, 1 million 154 thousand tests have been done for the entire period.

There is also an increase in pneumonia cases in the republic. Simultaneously, the number of patients with acute respiratory infections and acute respiratory viral infections decreased, which is considered a positive trend by the minister.

In hospitals in Bashkiria, 2,600 beds are deployed, the share of vacant beds is 21 percent. There are 1,200 beds in infectious disease hospitals in reserve. Today, 700 thousand citizens have been vaccinated against influenza in the republic.
