Bashkiria became one of popular domestic tourism destinations this year

An analysis of data on mobile operators' subscribers' movement during the summer tourist season showed that the number of Russians who had vacationed in the country, but outside their home region, this year fell by 9%.

Even the most popular vacation destinations, which annually remain in the top - Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, Moscow, and St. Petersburg, were visited by an average of 20% fewer tourists. Baikal and Altai also received fewer guests - the total number of tourists here decreased by 6%.

At the same time, the Republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, the Rostov Region, and the Stavropol Territory remained in demand for Russians' rest and travel. The same number of tourists traveled here as in the previous year. Regardless of the region, the average travel time for Russians was just under two weeks - 11 days.
