Vladimir Yakushev: Urban projects of Bashkiria are always very elaborate and original

The Minister of Construction, Housing, and Utilities of Russia, Vladimir Yakushev, highly appreciated the work carried out in Bashkortostan to create a comfortable environment and landscaping. In an interview with reporters after inspecting the central city square of Ishimbay, where a large-scale reconstruction was carried out, the federal minister noted that “the square turned out to be multifunctional for different categories of people. There are locations for both children and the elderly, for concerts or fairs. It is both of the city decoration and a unique place where one can spend their free time with pleasure”, said Vladimir Yakushev.

Since this year, the minister said the amount of the federal grant for the All-Russian competition for creating a comfortable urban environment in small towns and historical settlements had been doubled, from 5 billion to 10 billion rubles. If before there were 80 winners, now there will be 160.

“Bashkortostan traditionally wins a large number of grants in the competition, the projects are very elaborate and original, they are getting better every year, and I think that there are good prospects ahead to receive new grants,” concluded Vladimir Yakushev.

“By 2024, we must transform all the central squares of our cities and regional centers, get new public spaces. I think we will succeed, ”said the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov.
