Radiy Khabirov and Vladimir Yakushev opened renovated central square in Ishimbay

The renovated central Lenin square was opened in the city of Ishimbay today. The Ishimbay's project "City Square. Reload" won the All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment in small towns and historical settlements in 2019.
The Minister of Construction, Housing and Utility Services of Russia Vladimir Yakushev, and the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov assessed the scale of the work carried out, which was really impressive. The stadium and the Recreation Center were preserved here. Two new entrances were made so that the square can be entered from several sides. The main Ishimbay square now features an amphitheater for local events with comfortable seating, lighting, and electrical equipment built into the paving stones.
It also includes exhibition pavilions, a fountain symbolizing oil, a warm pavilion with the possibility of accommodating a cafe, or an exhibition hall. A recreation area, sports grounds, a checker garden, and a playground with a unique play complex created specifically for this project appeared in the park.
The cost of all works amounted to 144 million rubles, including the federal budget - about 100 million rubles. The reconstruction contractor was Dortransstroy LLC.
"I want to thank everyone who took part in this project. Let me remind you that when the President of Russia launched the All-Russian competition for landscaping, he said that small towns and historical settlements should be transformed at citizens' initiative, taking into account their wishes. This project was done just like that, everything turned out great, " said the Construction Minister Vladimir Yakushev.
The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, in turn, said that the Lenin Square had completely changed.
He noted that on the eve of the Republic Day, he brought a gift for the city.
"The 90th anniversary of Bashkir oil production is ahead, and we will have a big program associated with this anniversary date. Next year we will start designing the reconstruction of the area of the discoverers of Bashkir oil; it will also be transformed. In 2022, we will carry out the reconstruction of the square itself. It will be just as modern, bright, beautiful, and interesting. I congratulate all the townspeople on holiday, I wish you all health and happiness, and thank you for your work," said the Head of Bashkortostan.
The official opening of the square is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, as part of the creative industries festival. Ishimbay residents will enjoy more than ten event venues with the city's creative team performances.
