Health Ministry urges citizens to stay at home on weekends and limit any contacts

The Russian Ministry of Health recommends residents to spend the coming weekend at home and not visit public places, and, if possible, do not use public transport.
This was stated by the assistant to the minister Alexei Kuznetsov.
On October 9, a record number of people infected with the new coronavirus infection was registered in Russia.
"In several regions, there has been an increase in the incidence of the new coronavirus infection. We recommend that citizens spend the coming weekend at home, with family members living together. We ask you to refrain from visiting guests, visiting public places, and limiting the use of public transport," RIA Novosti reports Kuznetsov's words.
Doctors at the Ufa hospital No. 8 also urge residents to stay at home and not participate in cultural events.
"We urge our citizens to be responsible, to take care of their health, as well as the health of their loved ones. Please do not visit mass events and crowded places. This will help reduce the virus spread and the burden on hospitals. Several hospitals have opened this week to receive patients with COVID-19. Many cultural events are planned for the coming weekend. People often argue with us that attending a concert in the open air is safe. In our opinion, it is better to take a walk in the park with your family on this day and watch the concert on TV," Arina Melnikova, a doctor at the Ufa infectious diseases hospital No. 8, told the Bashinform News Agency.
