12 126 COVID-19 cases were detected per day in Russia - record number since pandemic beginning

In Russia, as of October 9, 12,126 new cases of the coronavirus infection were registered. This is a record daily increase in cases over the entire period of the pandemic. This is reported by the federal operational headquarters to combat COVID-19.

The largest number of cases per day in Moscow is 3 701 people. In total, 1,272,238 people fell ill during the pandemic in Russia. 1,009,421 people recovered, including 7,092 on the last day. 22257 people died (+201 per day).

In Bashkiria, as of October 9, 47 new cases of the coronavirus were registered. According to the Ministry of Health of the republic, the total number of infected has reached 9,191.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of recovered is 8,928 people, including 25 on the last day. 850 people remain active carriers of the infection: 107 are in hospitals, 743 have a mild form of the disease, being on outpatient treatment.
