Bashkiria Health Ministry reported on hospitals occupancy by COVID-19 and pneumonia patients

The Ministry of Health of Bashkiria reported on the occupancy of hospitals with COVID-19 and pneumonia patients.

In total, the republic currently has 2 987 infectious beds. COVID patients and community-acquired pneumonia patients occupy more than 70% of the bed capacity. Over the past week, 330 beds were added, the department added.

It is also known that it is planned to add another 150 infectious beds at the BSMU clinic (6th hospital, Ufa).

Today in Bashkortostan, 29.3% of the bed capacity is free.

At the same time, there are numerous eyewitness testimonies that, due to a lack of beds, patients lie in hospitals' corridors. Radiy Khabirov also noted the overcrowding of the new Infectious Diseases Hospital in Zubovo during his visit to the hospital on October 3.
