Khabirov commented on infectious disease hospital construction in Sterlitamak

On October 6, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, took part in a meeting of the operational headquarters to prevent the importation and spread of the new coronavirus infection in the Russian Federation, which was held by videoconference by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova.

The Head of the Republic reported on the situation with COVID-19 in the region and the decision to build another infectious disease hospital in Sterlitamak.

“We are in control of the coronavirus situation. We have very small growth here. However, we should be prepared for the worst-case scenario. The experience of the construction of the Republican Infectious Disease Center in the Ufa region was very successful. The bulk of the patients is concentrated there - 380 people are now in the hospital. It has a professional medical staff, everything necessary for proper treatment. Moreover, there we take care of patients in serious condition,” said Radiy Khabirov. “Therefore, we made a decision, although it is hard for the budget, to build a similar infectious disease center in the southern part of the republic, in the city of Sterlitamak. On December 15, we will put it into operation. It will be a full-fledged hospital. It will include a pediatric unit, a unit for obstetrics, and a surgical unit. ”

Radiy Khabirov also spoke about the temporary stay of Kyrgyzstan residents in Bashkiria, who had difficulties with moving to the Orenburg region and crossing the border of Kazakhstan due to restrictive measures in connection with the pandemic.
