Dnieper river-crossing operation in 1943 was reenacted in Tuymazinsky District

On October 3, the Military-Historical Festival "They Fought for the Motherland" was held in the village of Raimanovo, Tuimazinsky District.

The main event of the festival was a military-historical reenactment of the Dnieper River assault crossing in 1943. Fayzulla Khazievich Agletdinov, a resident of the Tuimazinsky region, later a Hero of the Soviet Union, took part in this battle.

More than 150 reenactors from 8 regions of Russia and members of the search teams of Bashkiria came to participate in the reconstruction of historical events.

They attracted Soviet and German military equipment - Opel blitz, GAZ - AA, a military all-wheel-drive passenger car with a simplified open body GAZ-67B, motorcycles M-72, BMW R71. Also, mortars and machine guns were used.

Interactive platforms worked at the festival, expositions presented Soviet and German retro machinery, finds of search associations of the republic. Besides, the event featured performances of motorcyclists and a gala concert.

The military history festival was funded by the grant of the Civil Society Institutions Fund RB won by the project.
