Rospotrebnadzor named possible time frame for Russia to reach plateau for COVID-19

Over the next ten days, Russia may reach a plateau in COVID-19, and maybe during November. According to Natalia Pshenichnaya, Deputy Director for Clinical and Analytical Work of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, it is still difficult to make predictions more accurately. If citizens comply with all preventive measures, there is a chance that the cessation of the increase in incidence (reaching a plateau) will occur during October. In this case, the tightening of measures will not be necessary.
“Everything depends on the morbidity growth,” rg.ru cites the expert.
The representative of Rospotrebnadzor added that there is now some rise in the incidence. So, on the last day of September, 8,481 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Russia in 84 regions.
It is noted that the coronavirus practically does not mutate, but at the same time, it has not become less dangerous.
As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, in Bashkiria, the total number of deaths from the coronavirus has reached 41 people. Over the past day, 42 new cases of the coronavirus have been registered in the region. In total, 8,790 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the region since the beginning of the pandemic. Community-acquired pneumonia was diagnosed in 151 residents of the republic per day. 88 patients with pneumonia were discharged after recovery.
