139 Covid-19 infected schoolchildren are in Bashkiria, but no distance learning is planned

As of today, 139 schoolchildren of the republic have been diagnosed with the coronavirus in Bashkortostan. These figures were announced by the Minister of Education and Science Aibulat Khazhin at the parliamentary hearings in the State Assembly RB on demography. As of September 15, 67 teachers and schoolchildren had the new virus. At the beginning of the school year, 323 schoolchildren were on distance learning due to the new coronavirus infection. The minister noted that this figure was not critical, given that 490 thousand children study in the republic.

“The situation with ARVI is more complicated. More than 4 thousand children are in quarantine with this diagnosis. Last week this figure exceeded five thousand, now the situation looks more favorable. Children are recovering, and the vaccination campaign is underway. This holds back the massive morbidity of our children. The situation is under control, and in the next two months, we definitely do not plan to switch to distance learning mode,” said Aibulat Khazhin.

The Minister of Education and Science also explained that in the schools of the republic, where education is conducted in terms of trimesters, the holidays would begin on October 5, and the bulk of the schoolchildren would have autumn holidays since October 26.
