Bashkiria Health Minister named reasons for increase in number of COVID-19 infected

In Bashkiria, the number of people infected with the new coronavirus infection since the beginning of the pandemic is approaching 9 thousand. As of September 28, 8,708 infected with COVID-19 were registered. Over the past day, 39 new cases have been identified. The number of detected cases with community-acquired pneumonia over the last day was 110. It has been holding at this level for several weeks.

“This is due to the general epidemiological situation in the country and in the whole world. The season of acute respiratory viral infections, influenza and, accordingly, a new coronavirus infection has begun”, Minister of Health Maxim Zabelin reported during the videoconference.

57 people are currently undergoing treatment in hospitals with a confirmed diagnosis of the coronavirus. Three of them are in serious condition; two are in intensive care. In total, 8089 residents of the republic have recovered, +197 people over the last week. 23 laboratories in the region examined 978 thousand patients.

Radiy Khabirov reminded about the upcoming holiday on October 11 - Republic Day and the ban on gathering more than 50 people in one place. The Head of the Region advised the heads of municipalities to think about how to celebrate the holiday in these conditions.
