Bashkiria has improved its performance in healthy lifestyle regions ranking

Over the year, Bashkortostan has significantly improved its indicators in the ranking of Russian regions in a healthy lifestyle among the population. In 2019, the republic was ranked 21st in the study (71.6 points). In 2018, Bashkiria was on the 29th line of the rating.

Eight indicators were analyzed that characterize various areas of the research topic: the share of the population engaged in physical culture and sports; consumption of tobacco products; sale of alcohol; the number of identified persons committed crimes under the influence of alcohol and drug substances; mortality from accidental alcohol poisoning and the proportion of those employed at work with harmful and (or) hazardous working conditions.

The rating was calculated according to the data of Rosstat, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.

According to RIA Novosti, the regions of the south of Russia have become the rating leaders for the fourth year in a row. At the end of 2019, the first three lines are occupied by Dagestan (93.4 points), Chechnya (91.3), and Adygea (82.1). The worst results were in the subjects of the Russian Federation located in the Far East: Kamchatka Territory (40.7), Magadan Region (37.7), and the Jewish Autonomous Region (37.5).
