Increase in COVID-19 cases number is recorded in Bashkiria

The Ministry of Health of Bashkortostan records a gradual increase in the number of cases of the new coronavirus infection.
This was announced by the Bashkortostan Minister of Health Maxim Zabelin at a "Healthcare Hour" session. The daily increase in the number of infected is 0.5 percent.
At the same time, the number of those who recovered is 93 percent of the total number of cases.
"The mortality rate in the republic does not exceed 0.5 percent; this is one of the lowest rates in Russia. The high rate of testing for coronavirus infection continues. The medical institutions have created the necessary supply of medicines and personal protective equipment. Physicians receive incentive surcharges on time and in full," said Maxim Zabelin.
Radiy Khabirov drew attention to the results of current inspections of medical institutions.
"It is necessary to pay special attention to epidemiological safety, especially in medical institutions. Let us get ready for long work; the autumn-winter period will not be easy," said Radiy Khabirov.
Due to a possible increase in morbidity, 200 additional beds for patients with COVID-19 will be deployed in Ufa by the end of the week.
The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, also urged to continue influenza vaccination.
According to Maxim Zabelin, more than 580 thousand people have already been vaccinated. The total number of vaccinated people is planned to be increased to 2 million.
Over the past day, 35 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the region. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 8,556 people have already been infected. 36 people have died.
According to the Ministry of Health, 53 people are in hospitals of the republic with a confirmed diagnosis of the coronavirus. One of them is in serious condition. 515 patients are treated on an outpatient basis. 48 people were discharged from hospitals per day. At the same time, more than 300 patients are undergoing treatment at the new infectious diseases hospital in Zubovo, mainly with a diagnosis of pneumonia.
110 residents of the region were diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia per day. 88 people were discharged from hospitals after treatment.
