Classes in kindergartens, certificates, mobile applications: changes in learning Bashkir language

Today, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, at the interregional forum of the Bashkir language teachers, taking place in the Gafuriysky district, proposed to introduce a certificate for studying the Bashkir language, similar to an English language certificate to get which you need to pass a serious exam.
Radiy Khabirov believes that it is necessary to start mastering the native language from a very young age. Conditions must be created for this, including in kindergartens. Radiy Khabirov supported the proposal to organize the republican competition "The best preschool teacher of native language" with the granting awards of the Head of the Republic to the winners.
He noted that the methodology of teaching the Bashkir language has become modern. However, this work should be continued.
The Head of Bashkortostan instructed the Ministry of Education and Science to define the status of a national school. At the same time, in his opinion, it is necessary to understand what are the further goals in this area. Another assignment is related to the teaching of the Bashkir language in colleges, where 96 thousand students are studying, including many children who want to study the Bashkir language. Special programs and teaching techniques for secondary specialized educational institutions should be developed so that it is interesting for the children.
Besides, alternative language learning methods, interactive and online forms, should be introduced. Radiy Khabirov admitted that he had five mobile applications for studying the Bashkir language on his phone, three of them for children, and two for his studies of the Bashkir language during free time.
Much attention will be paid to personnel training. So, starting this year, pedagogical colleges began to train future preschool teachers and primary school teachers with additional in-demand specialization in their native languages. The same is proposed to be done at the Bashkir State Pedagogical University. These specialists are primarily needed for national, multilingual schools. According to the Head of Bashkortostan, children should be taught the spoken Bashkir language so that they can speak with their parents or peers at an everyday level.
"You should not be ashamed but only be welcomed to speak the Bashkir language even if you sometimes pronounce the words incorrectly", Radiy Khabirov said.
