Bashkortostan flags were displayed on highest peak in Russia - Elbrus
The state flag of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the flag with the TERRA BASHKIRIA logo, and the flag of the National Union of the Hospitality Industry (OSIG) were unfurled on Elbrus. Elbrus is the highest peak in Russia, with a height of 5642 meters.
To raise the flags, a farmer from Bashkiria, Evgeny Kupriyanov, and an OSIG expert - guide Viktor Ageev, came to Elbrus. Climbing Elbrus is organized within the framework of cooperation between the Republic of Bashkortostan and the National Union of the Hospitality, it is timed to coincide with World Tourism Day, which will be held on Sunday, September 27.
At the end of September, the weather and atmospheric pressure change on Elbrus, so the ascent was accompanied by piercing gusts of wind, the nights were freezing.
Each of those who climbed to the top of Elbrus, in addition to a personal motivation to overcome the route, also had a desire to share their love story for tourism and their native land.
