37 volunteers from Bashkiria will participate in clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccine

37 volunteers from Bashkiria will take part in a post-marketing clinical trial of a vaccine against the new coronavirus infection. All of them will keep a diary where they will write down their responses and other consequences of the vaccination. According to the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic Irina Kononova, the vaccine is two-stage. The first volunteers will receive the first one in the coming days, the second in three weeks.

“Vaccinations are planned at the polyclinic No.52 in Ufa. The next batch of vaccines will be larger, and by the end of October - mid-November, the period of post-registration vaccine trials will finish”, said the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Health of Bashkiria.

The representative of the department noted that it is necessary to store the received vaccine against COVID-19 at a temperature of at least -18 degrees Celsius. However, the polyclinics will soon receive the medication in a different form.
