Who seized "Birsk Fortress" - historic reenactment festival was held in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, near the city of Birsk, the festival of historic reenactment "River of Time" was held on Saturday, September 19. Almost 200 reenactors from different regions of Russia and cities of the republic took part in it.

The entrance to the festival was free; guests who came not only from Birsk but from Ufa, neighboring settlements, could get acquainted with the military uniforms of different times, with household items, weapons.

The festival was traditionally held in the historical park "Birskaya Fortress" on the high bank of the River Belaya.

The main event of the festival is large-scale performances of battles. The battles of the archers for the fortress, the great battle of the Great Patriotic War - real volleys, explosions of shells created the impression of being in the midst of real battles.

This year, in addition to the archers and soldiers of the Second World War, nomadic Bashkirs, warriors of the 1812 war, the Civil War, as well as their "wives" dressed in the spirit of the corresponding era, set up their camps in the Birsk Fortress park.
