Radiy Khabirov about Kyrgyzstan citizens detained at border: "They need our help"

Today, at a briefing session in the Government of the republic, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, thanked the heads of cities and regions who have accommodated Kyrgyzstan citizens in their territories.
Recall that more than 1,700 residents of Kyrgyzstan were forced to stay in the Kuyurgazinsky district of Bashkortostan due to the closure of Kazakhstan's border with the Orenburg region, the Bashinform News Agency reported. The head of the region took control of the situation. Foreign citizens were accommodated in temporary shelters in seven municipalities in the south of the republic. Hot meals, medical supervision were organized for them, and public order was ensured.
As reported by the Chairman of the State Committee for Emergency Situations RB Farit Gumerov, negotiations are underway to open borders with Kazakhstan.
"People found themselves in a difficult situation. It is not their fault that they are not allowed to cross the border to get home," Radiy Khabirov said. "We did the right thing to help people in trouble. We will keep the situation under control until the last person leaves the republic to his home."
Earlier it was reported that the issue of opening the border should be resolved approximately on September 22.
