Almost one million Bashkiria residents were tested for COVID-19

In Bashkiria, the number of people infected with the new coronavirus infection increased by 35 people per day. Thus, since the beginning of the pandemic in the republic, 8,452 patients had positive tests for COVID-19, the regional Minister of Health Maxim Zabelin said.

“33 people are in inpatient treatment, including one in serious condition. He is isolated from everyone since he was diagnosed with tuberculosis,” Maxim Zabelin reported to the Head of Bashkiria. “Today 495 people receive outpatient treatment, 220 are on self-isolation as contact persons.”

According to the Minister of Health of Bashkiria, over the past week, 224 people have been discharged from hospitals as recovered from the coronavirus infection, for the whole time - 7,890.

It is noteworthy that since the beginning of PCR testing, 920 thousand residents have been examined in the region.

Influenza vaccination in the republic is carried out routinely. 412 thousand people were vaccinated - 81% of the first batch of the medication. The next batch is expected to be delivered in October.

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that the first batch of the COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Bashkiria on September 18. Health care specialists will be the first to get vaccinated.
