Bashkiria grain growers harvested almost 120 thousand tons of grain per day

The harvesting pace is increasing in Bashkortostan. After prolonged rains, grain growers in the districts managed to work efficiently and threshed 55 thousand hectares with grain and leguminous crops on August 24. As a result, the total harvested area by August 25 reached 690 thousand hectares or 38% of the total. Today, 1 million 660 thousand tons of new crops have been collected, and the average yield exceeds 24 centners per hectare. Almost 120 thousand tons of grain were harvested last day.

“The agrarians of Meleuzovsky and Ilishevsky districts of the republic worked most actively, who threshed 3 thousand hectares with grain crops over the past day. Let us remind that in total, 1.8 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops will have to be harvested in the republic this year,” Almaz Galimov, head of the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan commented on.
