Ufa will host WorldSkills Russia final in 2021

More than 1,500 people from all regions of the country will come to Ufa for the final of the national championship "Young Professionals" in 2021. In two years, the competition will be hosted by Veliky Novgorod.

According to the Deputy Minister of Education of Russia Dmitry Glushko, with the help of WorldSkills Russia, the prestige of blue-collar occupations is growing in the country.

General Director of the Union "Young Professionals" Robert Urazov expressed confidence that Bashkiria will perfectly cope with the task.

Bashkortostan is a participant in all directions and projects of WorldSkills Russia. The regional team receives medals annually in the national professional skill finals. Four representatives from Bashkiria in different years were included in the main WorldSkills Russia team and represented our country at international competitions. The expert community of the region is over 1000 certified specialists in over 100 competencies. There are eight specialized competence centers in the region.

Last year, Bashkortostan took first place in the quality rating according to the results of demonstration exams, where 56% of the participants confirmed their professional level that meets international standards. In total, more than 18 thousand teenagers took part in various vocational guidance sites of the republic.

"We are interested in developing cooperation with the Young Professionals Union and will be happy to host the final of the national championship in 2021 and any other WorldSkills events in Ufa," said the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov.

It is known that in 2022 the WorldSkills Russia national final will take place in St. Petersburg. The championship will become a kind of test platform for the European championship in professional skills EuroSkills 2022, which will be hosted by the northern capital.
