Russian Agriculture Ministry supported draft federal law on beekeeping

The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia supported the draft federal law "On beekeeping in the Russian Federation".

Currently, proposals are being formed for consideration of the bill in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly RF in the second reading, according to the website of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

In Bashkortostan, the law "On beekeeping" has been operating since 1995.

Currently, a draft federal law is being developed to improve supervision in the field of safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals.

The regulatory document will help to minimize the risks of death of bees as a result of farmers treating fields with plant protection products. The bill has been submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation.

As of August 14, registers containing 89.4 thousand beekeepers and 1.8 million bee families were posted on 82 official websites of the regional governing bodies of the agro-industrial complex.

Note that the Bashkortostan beekeepers register includes 11,300 beekeepers and 221,400 bee families.
