Bashkiria is preparing for the second stage of lifting restrictions on coronavirus. The Head of the Region Radiy Khabirov announced this today during a briefing session in the government. According to him, there is a tendency in the republic to move to the second stage of lifting restrictions on the coronavirus.

The Head of the Region said that tomorrow, on August 18, he would hold a meeting of the operational headquarters for the coronavirus, at which he intends to hear colleagues about the security measures taken in public transport, the multifunctional centers, hospitals, shopping malls.

The Head of the Republic also recalled that a difficult epidemiological season would be ahead, traditionally accompanied by an increase in ARVI and influenza diseases. In this regard, he instructed the Ministry of Health RB to be prepared for different developments and to provide for the availability of the required amount of free bed capacity.

According to the Ministry of Health RB, as of August 17, the number of COVID-19 infected in Bashkiria increased to 7,340, of which 38 people were identified in the last day. Over the entire period, 6,513 patients recovered. According to official figures, 27 people died.
