Aisylu Yanturina-Darles: "Bashkirs living abroad proudly carry Bashkortostan's flag"

Aisylu Yanturina-Darles, originally from Bashkortostan, has been living in Geneva since 2011 and works for the United Nations Export Development Agency. In 2015, together with people from Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, she organized a non-profit association "Yuldash" in Switzerland, co-founded a BashkirGlobe – an association of Bashkirs around the world and actively participated in the World Kurultay of Bashkirs.

Aisylu is currently coordinating a regional project of the UN International Trade Center "Ethical Fashion" in Central Asia. Living in Switzerland, she became convinced that many of her compatriots abroad, love Bashkortostan and still care for their native culture, traditions, language, and their roots in general. It also turned out that many Europeans are quite interested in the Urals, want and are ready to get acquainted with the Bashkir culture, cuisine, and traditions.

Aisylu is sure that those Bashkirs who live abroad proudly carry the flag of Bashkortostan, share with the world knowledge, traditions and culture that are of interest to Europeans.

In her interview with the Bashinform News Agency in the "Countrymen" section, Aisylu spoke about her work and how love for the "small homeland" still existed far from it, abroad.
