Bashkiria cities received 580 million rubles for territories accomplishment

The cities of Birsk, Ishimbay, and Belebey received about 580 million rubles from the federal and republican budgets to transform urban areas, develop modern architectural solutions while preserving historical and cultural landscapes. Projects of cities to create a comfortable environment won the All-Russian competition in 2019.

According to the terms of the competition, all federal funds allocated for the improvement must be spent before September 1.

"There is not much time left, organize round-the-clock work," said the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov at the regular session devoted to public areas accomplishment.

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported what changes are expected in Birsk at the end of 2020.

It is planned that the renovated sites in these cities will become venues for major annual events attracting guests and tourists from all over Bashkortostan and other regions. So, in Belebey there will be a literary festival "Singing Springs", in Ishimbay - a festival of creative industries, and Birsk will host a gastronomic festival "Ax Porridge".

In 2020, Meleuz, Yanaul, Dyurtyuli, Agidel, and the village of Nikolo-Berezovka, Krasnokamsky district, joined the list of laureates of the All-Russian competition. Bashkortostan sent 11 more applications to the next competition this year. They will be considered in September.
