Andrey Nazarov: "Tourist flow in Bashkortostan has almost tripled this summer"

In Bashkortostan, the tourist flow has almost tripled this summer. First Deputy Prime Minister of the region Andrey Nazarov stated this on his Facebook page. According to him, the coronavirus has made its own adjustments to the plans of people, and the majority of them did not go abroad this year.

"I also went out on trips several times to admire the local nature, to look at the ancient drawings in the Shulgan-Tash Cave, to raft down the turbulent river in Burzyan, between the picturesque rocks. Add to all this wonderful national cuisine, traditional drinks koumiss or buza, and our fragrant honey," Andrey Nazarov posted.

At the same time, the increase in tourist traffic revealed several problems in this area. The first deputy prime minister of the republic highlighted two critical issues on which systematic work was underway. This is the lack of full-fledged roadside service. Another problem is the massive amount of rubbish left in our natural parks.

Andrey Nazarov urged citizens to "travel over their native land", having noted that much effort is being invested in the republic to develop tourism.

"From 6 to 9 August, we held information and press tours in Bashkiria, organized as part of the Russia Tours project. Fourteen more regions of Russia are involved in this project of the Federal Tourism Agency in addition to our republic. Representatives of tourist organizations and major federal publications visited the main attractions of Bashkortostan, stayed at hotels and tourist centers, assessed the potential of the sanatorium-resort sphere of our republic," said the first vice-premier of the region. "We will develop the tourism potential. I would like our sights to be recognizable in all corners of the world. Well, our economy will, of course, improve as inbound tourism grows."
