Turkish Health Ministry explains coronavirus procedures for tourists

The Turkish Health Authority has clarified the rules for the stay of tourists with the coronavirus.
According to ATOR, if a sick person with symptoms of COVID-19 (high fever, cough, etc.) is detected on a flight arriving in the country, they are given an express PCR test.
The test is free for tourists, and the result will be ready in four hours.
If the test is positive, the passenger is sent to a state clinic for examination and treatment. The insurance policy covers the case. If the return flight is missed due to the quarantine regime, the return ticket will be refunded.
The publication notes that on board a plane heading to Turkey, all Russians must fill out a questionnaire indicating their seat number. If a sick person is identified on board, the following algorithm applies to their neighbors on the flight.
All passengers sitting in two seats in front, behind and on the sides of the patient's seat (and if the patient was sitting at the aisle - about those sitting diagonally in front and behind him), will immediately be offered to undergo the same free coronavirus testing.
If the test is negative, the tourist sitting next to the sick person will be able to continue their usual rest.
If a tourist falls ill at a hotel, the procedure is the same as with a flight passenger: a free test and hospitalization in a public hospital. The insurance policy of Russian insurers will also cover the case. Some contacts can be isolated - but as a rule - free of charge, and in the same hotel (each hotel now has dedicated rooms for this). If these people need medical attention, that is also covered by their insurance policies.
We remind that Russia opened flights with Turkey since August 1.
