Radiy Khabirov announced construction launch of largest hospice in Russia

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, announced the construction start of a new hospice.
It is being erected on a plot of 2.37 hectares. It will be located behind the Mega shopping center, in the southern part of Ufa.
As the Head of the Republic emphasized, the hospice will be "the largest and most modern in Russia". Therefore, it is necessary "to continue raising more money."
The mission of the hospice is to provide palliative care for terminally ill patients, adults, and children. The institution will create comfortable conditions for patient care. With its help, relatives and friends will be able to get the necessary social rest.
The project of the Ufa hospice provides for three buildings: children's and adult departments, as well as an administrative and medical unit, the press service informs.
The hospice is designed for 60 beds. 40 of them are for adults and 20 for children.
Each of the buildings has its own walking areas, and the children's department is equipped with playgrounds.
The Head of the Republic ordered the construction of a hospice in Ufa after a meeting with the founder of the Vera Hospice Fund, Nyuta Federmesser.
In August 2019, he addressed his followers in social media with a request to support the idea of building a hospice and provide all possible financial assistance. Both ordinary people and business representatives responded to the call of the head of the region. As a result, it was managed to collect more than 18 million rubles.
Currently, design and survey work on the construction of the building is being completed. In parallel with this, the builders have already started preparing the site for the object. The commissioning of the hospice is scheduled for autumn 2021.
Meanwhile, according to Radiy Khabirov, it is important to use here the experience gained during the construction of a new clinical diagnostic infectious disease center in the Ufa region. In particular, he proposed to provide a hostel for staff in the project.
"We really need this hospice. Parents of seriously ill children turn to us; thousands of people need such help. Moreover, there are such objects in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other large cities of Russia, but not here. So, people suffer," the Head of the Region noted.
