Bashkiria will develop cartoon animation industry

The Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov met with Soyuzmultfilm studio director Boris Mashkovtsev in the House of the Republic. The parties discussed the development prospects of cartoon animation production in the region. The meeting was also attended by the director of the Ufa studio "Mukha" Artur Abdrakhmanov.

"Soyuzmultfilm" is a cartoon animation technopark, forming an optimal production model and format of interaction with regional studios. Radiy Khabirov stressed that the Ufa studio "Mukha", which products are widely popular in the Russian animation market, could well become a resident of this technopark and promote the best examples of Bashkortostan cartoons across the country.

Joint work with "Soyuzmultfilm" will enable the studio to scale and increase production capacity. The head of the region gave instructions to work out the issue of providing the Mukha studio with additional premises.

The Ufa studio "Mukha" director Artur Abdrakhmanov, in turn, proposed to create here a training center jointly with "Soyuzmultfilm".

Radiy Khabirov and Boris Mashkovtsev also discussed the possibility of holding an All-Russian Cartoon festival in Ufa, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of "Soyuzmultfilm", which the studio will celebrate next year.
