1,500 tourist navigation signs will be installed in Bashkiria until September 30

In Bashkiria, work is underway to install signs and pointers for tourist navigation. They will direct people to the sights and picturesque places of the region, to the tourist centers of Bashkiria, various natural and archaeological sites, museums and monuments.

The work is organized by the State Committee RB for Tourism as instructed by the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov. The signs are installed on federal, regional, and local roads.

In total, 1500 signs are planned to be installed by September 30, 2020. Currently, active work is underway in the tourism sector of Ufa and Birsk. Similar direction signs will appear in all cities of the republic.

The signs installed on federal and regional roads will be in two languages: Russian and English. Also, the signs will indicate the distance to the place. It is proposed to place information in the Bashkir language directly on the objects themselves. This tourist navigation system will result in integration into the world tourist community.

Besides, in order to implement tourist navigation in Bashkiria, hiking trails with a total length of 300 km are being marked. To this end, the “Great South Ural Trail” project is being implemented in the republic. The route covers various picturesque parts of the Urals.
