Hospitals in five cities of Bashkiria will receive mobile mammography units

The regional hospitals of Beloretsk, Birsk, Kumertau, Neftekamsk, and Sibay will receive Russian-made mobile mammography units.

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, handed over their keys on July 7.

Mobile complexes mounted on the KAMAZ chassis are equipped with all necessary equipment.

“We made a decision a long time ago on the purchase of equipment, and we are expecting the delivery of three more machines. These are modern, convenient units that will cover the entire territory of the republic. The procedure will take not so much time. The main thing is that women hear us and regularly come for examination. In the near future, we will again begin to send medical trailers to remote settlements. Early detection of breast cancer allows doctors to treat the disease successfully, and patients can live a full life for a long time, ”said Radiy Khabirov.

According to the Minister of Health RB Maxim Zabelin, the new equipment will be able to examine a large number of women, detecting cancer in the early stages.

In total, in 2020, eight mobile units were purchased for 162 million rubles.
