Over 860 million rubles will be directed to address cardiovascular diseases in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, it is planned to re-equip several large hospitals at once through the implementation of a regional project to combat cardiovascular diseases.
According to the press service of the republican Ministry of Health, the City Clinical Hospital No. 21 in Ufa, the City Hospital No. 1 in Oktyabrsky, as well as the Sibay and Neftekamsk City Hospitals will receive modern medical equipment.
In total, 13 units of medical equipment will be purchased with funds from the federal budget. Six of them are high-tech, including MRI, CT, and angiography devices.
Currently, six contracts for the supply of 10 units of equipment have been concluded. Besides, it is planned to purchase 187 units of rehabilitation equipment from the republican budget.
In total, about 861.7 million rubles were allocated this year from the federal and republican budgets for the regional project aimed at combating cardiovascular diseases. Of these, almost 670 million rubles are federal funds.
The regional project is implemented as part of the national Healthcare project, developed on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As the chief physician of the Republican Cardiology Center, Irina Nikolaeva told the Bashinform News Agency, the work of the cardiology service in Bashkiria continues in full, despite the difficulties in the context of the pandemic.
“The republic has created all the conditions for providing medical care to patients with diseases of the circulatory system,” she emphasized. “The technical facilities have significantly improved. This has raised the quality of cardiological care even in the most remote areas of Bashkiria.”
The interlocutor of the agency emphasized that the construction of a new cardiac surgery building is continuing in the republic.
