Park in Soviet modernism style is being created in Agidel for federal grant

The "Volny Agideli" public space is being created in the center of Agidel in the style of Soviet modernism. This project, among five others from the Institute for the Development of Bashkortostan Cities, received a federal grant of 45 million rubles. The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov made a post about it in his social media.
"Agidel has not had so much attention as today from the very foundation of the city. Almost the entire center will be completely transformed by the summer of 2021. There will be an amphitheater, an inclusive children's playground, a field for mini-soccer, a basketball court, art objects. The highlight of the park will be the Alley of the First Builders of the nuclear power plant, which was never completed, but it was this all-Union construction that started the city," the Head recalled.
The park zone is created on the site of the former school site and the territory of the former kindergarten. The director of the Institute and the assistant to the Head of the Republic, Olga Sarapulova, is in charge of the project. The Agidel's experience can become a model for restarting all Soviet neighborhoods, she said.
Also, grants for the reconstruction of public spaces were won by the towns of Meleuz, Yanaul, Dyurtyuli, and Nikolo-Beryozovka. The total amount of grants is 400 million rubles.
"The Institute for the Development of Bashkortostan Cities is ready to consider all the initiatives and opinions of citizens who want to create and reorganize public territories in their localities. We are open and ready to discuss all projects," said the press secretary of the Institute Dina Demeneeva.
