Minimum allowance for children under 18 months has doubled

The minimum allowance for the care of the first child up to 18 months will increase from 3 375 to 6 752 rubles. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the corresponding law. The text of the document is published on the official portal of legal information.

Recall, the president proposed to increase the amount of childcare allowance on May 11. According to him, non-working citizens, including students, are entitled to such a benefit. As a rule, these are young parents who need support.

Besides, the maximum allowance is increased for those who were left without work during maternity leave. From 6,000 to 13,504 rubles. This measure is aimed at supporting pregnant mothers or guardians who are left without work, who actually care for the child, but are not subject to compulsory social insurance in case of temporary disability.
