Cycling route over most famous places is prepared for tourists in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, the next stage of testing the large VeloRussia bicycle pathway started, which, according to the organizers, should attract active tourists to the republic. The bicycle traveler Anton Sazonov, who has extensive experience traveling on two-wheeled vehicles around the world, this time along with his team, will ride a thousand kilometers over the most famous places in Bashkiria.

The cycling expedition "Trans South Ural 2020" started on June 2, and it will last a whole month. "We will pass from Kropachevo station to Orenburg; many interesting objects and attractions will be on our way. It will include an abandoned narrow railway, Serpievsky cave city, Zigalga ridge, Bolshaya Shelom, and Bolshoi Iremel mountains, the ruins of the old factory in Tirlyan, the South Ural Reserve, the city of Beloretsk, Kaga village, Arsky stone, Shulgan-Tash nature reserve, Muradymovskoe gorge, Nugushskoe, and Yumaguzinskoe reservoirs, Zilair plateau, Sakmara river, Dolgie mountains, Karamurun-tau, Orenburg city, and many others," said Anton Sazonov.

At one stage, travelers from the suburbs of Moscow will join the team of cyclists from Ufa.

VeloRussia is a project to create networks of regional cycle routes in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The project was supported by grants from the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Presidential Grants Fund. According to the project organizer, the Republic of Bashkortostan is the first in Russia to acquire its network of bike routes. A total of 13 bicycle routes will be created. The start and finish points are connected to railway stations.

The "Belaya River Estuary" route has already been tested, starting from the Karmanovo station (conveniently accessible from Kazan, Izhevsk, Yekaterinburg, and Perm) at the Karmanovskoe reservoir, which goes through Neftekamsk, Agidel and picturesque places in the north-west of Bashkiria to the village of Kandry and the lake of the same name.

Bicycle routes "Over Aksakov's Places" and "Orenburg tract" were developed for Ufa residents and guests of the capital of the republic.
