Demographic scientists expect decrease in birth rate and increase in divorces in Bashkiria

In the near future, a sharp growth in the birth rate is not expected.
On the contrary, the number of births will decrease; the number of divorces will increase; there will be more civil marriages. The associate professor of BAGSU, Ph.D. in Economics Yana Skryabina stated this at an online conference organized by the Bashinform News Agency.
Renata Komleva, junior research scientist of the Institute for Strategic Studies confirms the words of her colleague.
Young families do not seek to have children even though the state interested in raising the birth rate provides payment of the child benefits.
According to Renata, the payment of maternity capital played a certain role in increasing the birth rate, but there are also some nuances in the financial stimulation of family growth.
"The number of births is concentrated on a certain period of time, falling on the time of this policy is in force. The birth calendar is swinging - a woman simply implements her plans for the birth of children a little earlier, and then the number of children decreases," Komleva said.
For a steady increase in the birth rate, not only financial support is necessary, but also the improvement of the healthcare system, preschool education, and children's infrastructure.
In her opinion, France is an example here, which shows steady growth in the birth rate relative to other countries.
