Interfax: Victory Day parade is planned to be day off

It is planned that Wednesday, June 24, when a parade will be held in Russia in honor of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, will be a day off. This was reported by Interfax, citing a source connected with the preparations for the event.
Earlier on May 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the peak of the coronavirus in Russia had already passed, and ordered preparations to be conducted for the Victory Day parade on June 24. He noted that the parade would take place on the day of the legendary, historical winning parade in 1945.
He also offered to hold a march of the Immortal Regiment on July 26, the Russian Navy Day. However, Putin did not rule out that the march might be rescheduled on the advice of specialists.
