Record mortality from new coronavirus is reported in Russia on May 25

In Russia, 174 people, who had a confirmed test for the coronavirus infection, died over the past day, RBC analyzes data from the operational headquarters. This is the highest figure since the start of the pandemic. The previous maximum was recorded on May 24 - 153 people. The day before, 92 people died, which became the minimum figure for the week.

Over the past 24 hours, 76 people have died in the capital. A large number of deaths were recorded in the Moscow Region (349), St. Petersburg (150), and Dagestan (118). The total number of deaths in the country has reached 3,807.

In Bashkiria, on May 25, 79 people fell ill, no deaths reported. The total number of patients since the pandemic start was 2,851, and 18 people died. According to the Ministry of Health RB, the spread rate of 0.9 is observed for several days; the growth rate is less than 7% of the population.
