Kuvatov Clinical Hospital doctors recovered from coronavirus will donate anti-COVID plasma in Ufa

Doctors of the Republican Kuvatov Clinical Hospital, who had been ill with the coronavirus and had 30 days passed after recovery, plan to donate an anti-COVID plasma to treat other patients, the regional Ministry of Health reports.
The blood transfusion from a donor who recovered from COVID-19 is an effective alternative for treating severe patients with the coronavirus infection. The plasma taken from them contains a very high titer of antibodies against this virus. Its administration gives a chance of recovery in severe cases when there are no effective drugs against the new coronavirus.
In Bashkiria, they began collecting plasma of patients recovered from COVID-19 on May 6. The first transfusion of the anti-COVID plasma to a patient in a severe state was carried out on May 9. By a decree of the head of Bashkortostan, cash payments were made to donors of anti-COVID plasma: for the donation of at least 300 ml - 2500 rubles, at least 450 ml - 3750 rubles, in the amount of 600 ml - 5 thousand rubles.
