Bashkortostan organizes international conference on demography

On May 22, under the auspices of the Institute for Strategic Studies of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation "Challenges and Trends in the Demographic Development of Russia and its Regions (Demographic Readings)" will be held online. Scientists from Astana, Kazan, Minsk, Moscow, Ufa participate in an online discussion of sociology issues.

The main topics of the conference:

• Family and fertility: trends, challenges, politics

• Mortality and public health: dynamics, factors, and policies of public protection

• Trends in internal Russian migration and regional migration policy measures.

As part of the conference, a round table will be held on the upcoming All-Russian Population Census 2020, which will also discuss the use of the results of population censuses in science and practice.
