Pharmacies will receive permits for online selling within five days in Russia

The decision to issue permits for the remote sale of OTC drugs by pharmacies will be made within five days, Interfax reports.

Russian authorities have approved the rules for issuing permits for the remote sale of medicines. OTC drugs can be purchased online or by phone, said Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting of the Presidium of the Government’s Coordinating Council to combat the new coronavirus infection spread in the Russian Federation.

According to him, a pharmacy should submit an application to Roszdravnadzor via the Internet in order to get the right to conduct such trade and deliver orders. Documents must confirm compliance with several requirements that are specified in the relevant rules. The decision will be made within five days, and after that, the pharmacy will be able to sell drugs online or take orders over the phone and deliver them.
